Miranda Rooftop Equipment Enclosure Installation
Space was the problem here.
The brief was simple: heat the pool, but don’t give anything up to do it.
After a site visit, the solution presented itself.
The result is a pool that’s now usable nine months of the year instead of three.
The footprint constraint ruled out a standard ground-level install from the start.
The second challenge was aesthetics. Mounting a heat pump on top of an enclosure solves the space problem, but it also puts the unit at eye level — visible from the entertaining area. The client didn’t want it to stand out. We fabricated custom colour-coded brackets to mount the unit flush and matched the finish to the enclosure and fence line behind it. From the back deck, it blends into the background.
- No available ground space — equipment area fully occupied prior to installation
- Custom mounting brackets fabricated and colour-matched to the existing enclosure
- Unit positioned to minimise visual impact from the main entertaining area
- Plumbing integrated neatly into the existing equipment setup below
The install required more planning than a standard job, but the execution was clean. One day on site, no mess left behind, and a setup the client was happy to look at every day.
The pool is now heated and the backyard hasn't changed.
- Heat pump mounted above existing equipment enclosure — zero ground footprint lost
- Custom colour-coded brackets fabricated to match enclosure and fence line
- Full plumbing integration with existing pool equipment completed in a single day
- Swim season extended from 3 months to 9 months per year
When space is tight, the answer is usually to look up. This one came together exactly as planned.
