Mortdale Pool Heat Pump Installation
The pool was already there and already impressive.
The brief was to extend the season as far as possible without disrupting what was already a great setup. No compromise on aesthetics, no major civil works, and no eyesores—just a longer swimming season.
After a site visit, we identified unused space alongside the existing shed as the ideal location for the heat pump. By connecting it to the existing filtration system and keeping the plumbing discreet, we delivered a clean installation that blends seamlessly into the backyard.
The client also had rooftop solar. Scheduling the unit to run during peak solar generation hours means the day-to-day running costs are negligible.
The biggest consideration was finding the ideal location for the heat pump.
It needed to be practical, efficient and visually unobtrusive while integrating with the existing pool equipment.
The unused space beside the shed proved to be the perfect solution, allowing the heat pump to be installed without sacrificing any usable outdoor area or affecting the look of the entertaining space.
- Heat pump connected to the existing filtration system
- Unit positioned in unused space beside the shed for a discreet finish
- Plumbing installed neatly for a clean, professional appearance
- Timer programmed to operate during peak solar generation, keeping running costs to a minimum
The result is an installation that performs efficiently while looking like it has always been part of the property.
The pool went from a three-month swimming season to around ten months of comfortable use each year.
- Swim season extended from 3 months to approximately 10 months each year
- Seamless integration with the existing filtration system
- Discreet installation beside the shed with no loss of usable space
- Solar-optimised operation for minimal day-to-day running costs
A great pool deserves to be enjoyed. This one now is.
